Overview

A Perk is an effect that gives the character a boost to gameplay in Vesteria. Perks are usually gained by spending stat points or equipping certain Equipment.

Equipment Perks can be viewed by reading the description of the Equipment. For Stat Perks, please visit Stats.

Unlike standard RPGs, Vesteria doesn't have multitudes of weapons with different attack powers. Instead, most of the weapons in Vesteria do not have huge differences in base power, but have Perks that make them unique from other weapons. This makes Perks play a important role in choosing a endgame weapon as differences in base power are minimal compared to what the perks offer.

Sometimes, higher attack power doesn't make the weapon better. Take the Webbed Staff for example: While only having 101 attack power, it contains a Perk, Venom Bomb, which allows Mana Bomb to leave venom puddles that deal rapid tick DoT with decent damage. Combining this with Multi Mana Bomb can drastically increase the damage capabilities. When compared with something with 1.5 times its attack power, such as the Astrologist's Scepter, the Webbed Staff is still superior in terms of DPS due to its Perk.

Class-Subclass Perks

Some classes/subclasses give a Perk upon joining. Some only give a visual effect, some affect gameplay.

Warriors Vesra's Eviscerator
Bloodcraze
Critical hits grant a stacking attack speed bonus.
Gives 5 agility per crit, lasting roughly 7.5 seconds and stacks at 30. At higher amounts of agility it becomes increasingly harder to stack more as hits are recognized less due to anticheat. (Dual wielding does not stack)
Warriors Azariah's Edge
Aftershock
Adds shockwaves to Ground Slam.
Adds 8 secondary "shockwaves" that are on the edge of the main "shockwave" to Ground Slam. Each hit does half the damage of the initial ground slam.

Basic attacks deal magic damage and scale accordingly.
M1 damage that formerly scaled off of physical damage now scales off of magic damage.

Prevents not being able to regenerate stamina in the Whispering Dunes.
Aviators
From The Pit
Filthy and Vicious
Shank
Causes victims to bleed.
Hunters Broken Bottle
Overbite
Critical hits do 30% more damage
(Note that this does not work in your offhand and only affects basic attacks.)
Hunters The Incisor
Mitosis
Heal for the mana you spend when using abilities.
Mages Slime Staff
Eldritch Curse
Drastically empower Thundercall.
Reduces Thundercall's animation to a negligible amount, and thunder strikes 3 times in quick succession on any enemy in radius. Damage per strike is reduced but overall damage is increased. (Note that this ability stacks with Storm Surge, but it is not advised as damage per strike is reduced even further.)
Mages Forgotten Staff
Dull Thud
Boost Rebuke damage by 50% but remove knockback.
Paladins Barrel Hammer
Eldritch Cleave
Drastically empower Smite.
Increases AoE of smite but does not increase damage.

(It's possible that more MP is gifted from this perk is more than intended; need more info.) (Confirm?)
Hunters Ravager Vest
Reckless
Deal and receive 120% damage.
(Damage taken is on the same plane as DR from shields, so it is a bad idea to use gladiator armor on a knight.) (Confirm?)

Mages Bloodmage Robes
From Hammerhead Fishing
Will of the Seas

Shunpo is given the blessing of the sea.

Quick Slash inflicts bleeding damage.
DoT scales from INT. (Confirm?)
Warriors Wavebreaker Helmet
Storm Surge
Thundercall becomes a repeating strike on enemies.
The amount of bolts generated is much larger, bolts can strike more than once on a target, but damage per bolt is reduced. (Overall damage is also reduced but is usually made up for in how each bolt can strike on a single enemy.) (Note that this perk stacks with Eldritch Curse, but it is not advised as damage per bolt is reduced even further.)
Mages Depth Scryer Hat

The Colosseum
