The Lost Journal is a Quest Item that holds information and lore about the Whispering Dunes.
It also contains information on an adventurer named Mississippi Bones. In order to start The Lost Palace (Quest), you must present this to Dr. Henry Bones, Mississippi's father.
The Lost Journal is soul bound, meaning it can neither be dropped nor traded. Despite this, Mississippi still managed to drop it.
