The Chitin Scythe is a Blue Tier 
Mage-exclusive Scythe dropped by the 
Scarab, at a Drop rate of 0.39%.
It can be equipped at Level 45 and has +146 Weapon Attack. It also gives +10 VIT.

"Basic attacks deal magic damage and scale accordingly."
The unique Perk of the Chitin Scythe makes that all your melee attacks scale to your magic damage bonus, dealing magic damage per swing instead of physical damage. Because of this, it will do much more melee damage than a traditional magic weapon.
Trivia[]
- The Scarecrow Robes has a perk that does the exact same thing as Chitin Scythe's. It's called Haunted Aura, however the perk requires Scarecrow Hood alongside the robes to be worn in order to function completely.
- The fact that it gives a +10 VIT bonus might be a reference to its description, stating that the weapon is pulsating with life.
- This weapon is thought by many to be the best
Warlock item for its basic attack enhancing ability and it's 10 additional Vitality.
